IRAN: Narges Mohammadi

Iran

Jailed for defending women's human rights

Narges Mohammadi was sentenced to 16 years in prison for defending women's human rights in Iran, and is being held without access to proper medical care. Already languishing in the notorious Evin Prison for more than a year, she is not receiving the critical treatment she desperately needs for her medical conditions, and has been cut off from contact with her children as a form of punishment.

Act Now

  • Defending human rights is not a crime. Call on Iranian authorities to release women's rights defender Narges Mohammadi immediately and unconditionally.
